Halo Pets Wins World Taste Championship; Liv-A-Littles Declared Best-Tasting Dog Treats in Chefs Competition

Halo Pets Wins World Taste Championship; Liv-A-Littles Declared Best-Tasting Dog Treats in Chefs Competition

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) December 21, 2008

Halo, Purely for Pets , a leading holistic pet care company, announced today that their Liv-A-Littles natural dog treats and cat treats have been declared the world’s best-tasting pet treat by the American Masters of Taste. The Liv-A-Littles chicken treat was reviewed in a triple-blind competition by a panel of independent chefs. The evaluators were not told who manufactured the treat, what the product variety was, or the other evaluator’s scores or comments.

The jury was headed by Chef Jesse Sartain, the founder of the organization. The judging was a part of the ongoing World Taste Championships, founded in 1989 with the establishment of the Chefs in America Awards Foundation, whose professional Board Members gather weekly to conduct taste tests on a variety of foodservice and retail grocery products.

“We commend the culinary commitment of the staff of Halo, Purely for Pets for the excellence and innovation of their product line. We applaud them,” said Sartain.

Liv-A-Littles are made with just one ingredient: 100% whole meat chicken. No fillers, carbohydrates, sugars, artificial colorings or flavorings, just great tasting chicken.

“We’re thrilled to be awarded this honor by the American Masters of Taste,” said Alan Kerzner, President of Halo. “Liv-A-Littles, and all Halo products, are made from all natural ingredients of the highest quality. For Liv-A-Littles, to receive the distinction of best tasting just proves what we’ve known all along: all natural ingredients aren’t just healthy, but taste better too, which is great news for all of our four legged friends!”

Halo believes in reading labels, and recommends all consumers read every label to get familiar with the ingredients used. All Halo products are made with natural ingredients, which have many benefits for our pets including helping to prevent of obesity, skin disease, coat issues, while assisting a number of other physical benefits associated with pet health.

Halo Liv-a-Littles gourmet treats are available at Petco, Whole Foods, your neighborhood pet and natural store, and at http://www.halopets.com.

ABOUT HALO, PURELY FOR PETS®

For twenty years, Halo, Purely for Pets® has created holistic pet products of uncompromising quality. At Halo, we believe nutrition is the single most important factor in the quality of a pet’s life. With it, good health follows. By staying as close to nature as we can, we have seen phenomenal changes take place in the lives of thousands of pets and the owners who love them.

Since Halo’s inception, the company has been an active advocate helping conscientious pet owners better understand how nutrition plays a role in their pet’s health and vitality. Named for our belief that pets are our little angels, Halo continues to develop innovative and high quality pet products which help pet-owners better love and care for their “extra member of the family.” In 1986, Andi Brown founded Halo, Purely for Pets® after her cat “Spot” was plagued by digestive problems, skin irritations and excessive shedding. Andi soon learned that all of Spot’s symptoms were a direct result of nutrients lacking in his diet. Finding “premium” cat foods seriously lacking, she created a “stew” made from all natural ingredients and Spot was soon cured of his ailments and healthy again.

In March 2008, award-winning talk show host and comedienne, Ellen DeGeneres, became a part-owner of Halo, Purely for Pets®. At the same time, the company also expanded its line of all-natural pet food and pet care products. The company also expanded distribution with a variety of major retail chains such as Whole Foods and Petco, as well as thousands of independent pet specialty and natural outlets.

Andnetwork Is A Service Developed for African Journalists To Earn and Own Additional Revenue on Their Copyrighted Work

South Africa (PRWEB) August 21, 2005

Â?Africa is receiving well deserved attention these days and the launch of the African multi cultural website andnetwork.com is part of a chronicle of events working in the continents favor,Â? said CEO African News Dimension the publishers of andnetwork Ralston E. Smith.

Andnetwork has extended an open invitation to all media professionals on the African continent to log onto the Website and register as a Journalist during their trial period in the month of August. Their full service launch is scheduled for September 01, 2005 mid-night Central African Time (CAT), which translates to 6 p.m. August 31, 2005 Eastern Standard Time and 3 p.m. Pacific Standard Time.

Andnetwork is AfricaÂ?s first single authentic channel to embrace the continents 54 countries and islands all in one domain. Understanding and appreciating the diversity of African languages and culture is the key to success for Andnetwork as a leading African news content provider. Andnetwork translates the African story into an exportable package through the eyes of local journalists.

Most multinational news agencies that have some presence in Africa find it much easier to carry stories from Southern Africa and other English speaking countries like Nigeria, Uganda and Kenya but find it more difficult to get accurate coverage from the other parts of Africa.

The benefits of being a member of andnetwork as a contributor stretch far beyond the cash remuneration that is received by a journalist contributor. An example could be: a story that shares the African experience and makes Africa more popular as a continent that is rich in minerals and clear sandy beaches. Â?Yes, it is true that the continent is often troubled by wars and famine but the time has come to balance the news coverage on Africa,Â? said CEO Ralston E. Smith.

Andnetwork is an online service that has been developed for Freelance Journalists and News Organizations on the African Continent to enable them to own and earn additional revenue from their work. New Herbal Essences for Horses, Dogs and Cats Make Dosing Easy

New Herbal Essences for Horses, Dogs and Cats Make Dosing Easy

Seattle, Washington (PRWEB) June 29, 2007

Anima Herbal Solutions (http://www.animavet.com) has launched a unique line of herbal essences for horses, dogs, cats, and other animals. Created by holistic veterinarian Dr. Christine King, these herbal essences are safe, easy to use, simple to store, and economical; and best of all, they taste good.

The herbal essences are made using a proprietary process that begins with pure water-alcohol extractions of organically grown herbs. Each solution is then serially diluted with pure spring water, and the final product is preserved with concentrated saline (salt) solution. Owing to the special dilution process, no alcohol remains in the final product, making these herbal essences safe for use in alcohol-sensitive individuals.

Unlike traditional herbal tinctures, which have a strong alcohol and herb taste, palatability is not a problem with these herbal essences, as they just taste like sea water. That’s great news for cat owners especially, who often have trouble getting herbal products into their pets. Horses and dogs often refuse strong-tasting herbal products, too, so these herbal essences provide horse and dog owners with an easy way of using herbs in their animals.

The salt content is not a problem for individuals on salt-restricted diets or who otherwise are salt sensitive. The dosage needed is very small (just a few drops, even for a large horse), and the essences can be diluted in food or drinking water. They can also be used topically, by dropping the essence directly onto the animal’s skin or coat or by adding a few drops to a spray bottle and spritzing the animal, blankets, bedding, room, or stall.

The herbal essences are supplied in cobalt-blue glass dropper bottles, in 1 oz. and 2 oz. sizes. While it is best to store the bottles away from direct sunlight, they do not need to be refrigerated; they can be stored on the counter for easy use. As the dosage is small (just a few drops), these herbal essences are economical for use even in multi-animal households.

Owing to the unique preparation process, which harnesses both the biochemical and the energetic properties of the plants, these herbal essences support all aspects of the animal: body, mind, and spirit. They can be used for physical issues as well as for mental or emotional problems.

Dr. King uses these herbal essences when treating all sorts of medical problems in horses, dogs, cats, and other animals. “These essences are a wonderful adjunct to other therapies,” says Dr. King, “and the seasonal Meadow Blends are a lovely general system support. I take the spring-summer Meadow Blend daily, and I give it to my dog as well.”

Training challenges, behavioral problems, and relationship issues (e.g. squabbles among individuals in multi-animal households or herds, and horse-rider struggles) also respond well to these herbal essences.

“I have been using the Hawthorn essence for the cats,” wrote one pet owner, “and I just can’t believe the results! It has our cats finally settling into the new house and interacting with us again–after a full year of trying other modalities unsuccessfully. The one who hasn’t sought out interaction with us in a year is sleeping next to the bed, and rushing into the bathroom every time we go in! And he is coming downstairs to sit with me and sing. It is wonderful! Thank you!”

Another client, a veterinarian, wrote: “I have been trying out your herbal essences and having a blast! They are amazing. Just wanted to let you know how much fun I’m having with your new goodies.”

“I have had amazing results with our cats, dogs, and horses,” writes one woman, “and the Raspberry essence is fantastic for my PMS (although they’re not specifically sold for human use). Best of all, they are made with love by a truly gifted healer. How could it get any better!”

Anima Herbal Solutions are an inspired line of herbal products for horses and other animals, created by Dr. Christine King. The products include herbal dietary supplements for horses and herbal essences for animals of all varieties. For more information, visit http://www.animavet.com.

New Accessories Now Available for the Litter-Robot Automatic Self-Cleaning Litter Box

New Accessories Now Available for the Litter-Robot Automatic Self-Cleaning Litter Box

Litter-Robot Bubble Unit

Pontiac, MI (PRWEB) May 19, 2009

Automated Pet Care Products, Inc., the makers of the Litter-Robot™, the only automated, self-cleaning litter box product made in the U.S., today announced their newest additions to the Litter-Robot product line to help pet owners tailor the Litter-Robot to their cat’s specific needs, while maintaining an eco-friendly litter box. New products include the Bubble Globe, Lip Extender and the Litter-Robot Ramp and are now available for purchase at the Litter-Robot Web site at http://www.litter-robot.com.

“We are continually perfecting our valued-added, green line of pet care products and after carefully reviewing customer suggestions, our new line of products and accessories are designed to accommodate our customer’s needs, while maximizing the long-term value of their Litter-Robot,” said Brad Baxter, president of Automated Pet Care Products.

The Litter-Robot’s new products and accessories include:

The Bubble Globe is a skylight-type window mounted to the back of the Globe that adds 3 inches in the front-to-back depth of the litter chamber. The Bubble Globe provides natural lighting to the litter chamber and the extra depth helps to accommodate larger cats.

The Bubble Globe is available in beige, black or gray and can be purchased as part of the new Litter Robot II Bubble Unit ($ 349) or can be purchased separately ($ 169) for customers who already own a Litter-Robot and would like to upgrade to the current model.

In conjunction with the Bubble Globe, Automated Pet Care Products now offers a Lip Extender add-on accessory. The Lip Extender is designed for cats that have not mastered turning around in the Globe and ‘miss their target.’

The Lip Extender protrudes out of the entry hole of the Globe and catches and redirects errant fluid back into the litter. The clever design of the Lip Extender also provides a self-cleaning feature by feeding tracked litter back into the Globe during the cleaning cycle. The Lip Extender is included with the purchase of any Bubble Unit Litter Robot or Bubble Globe.

The Litter-Robot Ramp ($ 39.99) can serve as a ramp to help elderly or small cats get into the Litter-Robot and is also a scratch pad and can catch tracked litter to keep the litter area neat and tidy.

The Ramp can be placed in front of the Litter-Robot and can be easily removed for access to the litter drawer. Made from laminated cardboard with a solid cardboard base for catching tracked litter, the Ramp has non-skid rubber feet to ensure your cats safety, while protecting your floors. The Ramp is lightweight and the convenient grab tab makes it easy to move around or hang up when not in use.

For more information about the Litter-Robot and its new line of products and accessories, go to http://www.litter-robot.com.

If you don’t have a Litter-Robot or would like to win a new ECO Unit Litter-Robot ($ 349) and Litter-Robot Ramp ($ 39.99), sign up for Litter-Robot’s Earth Day Giveaway at http://www.litter-robot.com/blog/categories/litter-box-news. All entries must be received by June 1, 2009 and the winner will be chosen at random on June 8, 2009 and announced on the Litter-Robot Blog at http://www.litter-robot.com/blog.
